Las Vegas Electric Vehicle Club

The Las Vegas Electric Vehicle Association is a non-profit educational organization, a club that promotes the advancement and widespread adoption of Electric cars, trucks, motor cycles, bikes and trikes, boats, airplanes and any other type of mobility units you can think of. Electric vehicles (EVs) are a clean, quiet alternative to conventional automobiles, which are powered by petroleum derivatives that, when burned, emit toxic gases into the environment. EVs not only keep our Earth cleaner, their use preserves the earth's natural resources. EVs are a smart and efficient choice for personal transportation.

The LVEVA mission is "to act as a public source of information about developments in electric vehicle technology, to encourage use of and experimentation in the building of electric vehicles, and to organize public exhibits and events of electric vehicles to educate the public on the progress and benefits of electric vehicle technology.

Many people are not aware that Electric Vehicles are real today! They are more than just a future promise from automakers. Some EVs are production vehicles used as daily commuter cars while others are one-of-a-kind custom projects.

The Las Vegas Electric Vehicle Association (LVEVA) was formed in 1991. Our members have a wide range of experience from custom at home garage built to manufactured production vehicle owner enthusiasts to folks just trying to learn more about EVs.

We are a chapter of the National Electric Auto Association the organization was formed in 1967 in San Jose, California to promote the widespread adoption of Electric Vehicles http://eaaev.org/ . Some of our members belong to The National Electric Drag Racing Association http://www.nedra.com/ NEDRA organizes and sanctions safe, silent and exciting electric vehicle drag racing events that increase public awareness of electric vehicle (EV) performance and to encourage through competition, advances in electric vehicle technology.
